Yakushima information
Yakushima is known as the world natural heritage island.
About 90% of the islands are forest areas, such as Shiratani Unsuikyo ravine, and became the image model of Studio Ghibli Movie "Princess Mononoke".
About 130 km around, the total area is about 500 square Km, and sixth largest island of manned in Japan.
There are three means of transportation, bus, taxi, car rental are basic, some people use rental motorcycle or bicycle.
"Umi no cottage Tida" is a little far from the airport and the port, so we encourage guests to hire a rental car.
